I Arise and Shine (Poem)

In the quiet hush of dawn’s embrace,
I arise and shine, a radiant grace.
For my light has come, a celestial fire,
The glory of the LORD, my soul’s desire.

Darkness blankets the earth below,
A shroud on people, a pervasive woe.
Yet, the LORD rises upon my frame,
In God’s glory, I’ll never be the same.

Nations journey to my gleaming light,
Kings drawn to the dawn, ever bright.
I lift my eyes, a beacon so divine,
All assemble a cosmic design.

I gaze, and I’m bathed in radiant sheen,
My heart, a drum, beats joy unforeseen.
Wealth on the seas, a gift from above,
Riches of nations, an outpouring of love.

To this earthly plane, a purpose is assigned,
A mission to fulfill, a destiny entwined.
Though enemies gather, a sinister chore,
Their wickedness crumbles, their plans no more.

A spiritual exchange, they attempt to deploy,
But I decree and declare their efforts destroyed.
No weapon formed shall prosper near,
Every condemning tongue, I boldly sear.

Arrows of malice, a wicked spree,
Sent to me, return to sender, times three times three.
I arise and shine in the Lord’s embrace,
For my light has come, a triumphant grace.

So, I stand unyielding against the night,
A testament to the eternal light.
I arise and shine, a celestial decree,
For the glory of the Lord has risen upon me.
