The World looks on (Poem)

The world looks on, shocked and still,
As horrors unfold, a scene that chills.
No hand extended, no one in stride,
Witnessing genocide, eyes open wide.

Policemen of nations, a silent stand,
As anguish grips, a tragic demand.
In this age, civilization’s crown,
Yet, inaction reigns, bringing nations down.

Resting my case, these words I attest,
The human heart is in need of a rest.
Without the Spirit’s guiding hand,
The wickedness of man shall stand.
