Steadfast (Poem)

Steadfast, I stand, my gaze fixed on high,
The cares of this world, they pass me by.
A spirit dwelling in this human frame,
Untouched by their matrix, I remain the same.
Their tricks and traps, I see them clear,
But I pay no heed, for I have no fear.
Enemies surround me, yet I stand tall,
For I know who I am, and I won’t fall.
Betrayal’s sting it cuts so deep,
No second chances, promises I keep.
Like a leopard’s spots, darkness unchanged,
In their deceitful dance, I won’t be arranged.
Steadfast in faith, unwavering in grace,
In His presence, I find my place.
For I am not of this world’s mold,
Steadfast, I stand in His stronghold.
