Fearless Trust (Poem)

In the light of the LORD, my path is clear,
Salvation’s dawn, the end of fear.
My fortress strong, my shelter sure,
In His embrace, I am secure.

When shadows loom, and foes arise,
Their plans against me, built on lies,
They stumble, fall, in their defeat,
Their schemes undone, their plot incomplete.

Though armies siege, in darkness, massed,
My heart stands firm, my faith steadfast.
War’s drums may beat, its fires may roar,
Yet in my soul, peace reigns evermore.

One quest I hold, one true desire,
To dwell with Him, my soul aspires.
In His presence, all days to spend,
His beauty is my vision till time’s end.

In trouble’s grasp, He hides me away,
In secret places, I’m led to stay.
Upon a rock, He sets my feet,
Above my foes, in triumph complete.

Now raised on high, my head shall be,
Around me, foes, but I am free.
In His tent, joy’s sacrifice,
To Him, my songs shall ever rise.

For in His strength, I fear no loss,
My trust in Him, no storm can toss.
To sing His praise, my highest call,
In fearless trust, I give my all.
