Test Before Trust (Poem)

In the annals of old, a story is told,

 Of Samson, whose trust was bought and sold.

 Delilah’s allure, her cunning guise, 

Led to his downfall, to his demise.

Test before trust, the lesson clear,

 For deceit lurks close, whispers near.

 In the depths of prayer, seek the Divine,

 To reveal the truth, to shine and shine.

For Delilahs roam, in shadows they hide,

 Agents of darkness, their motives belied. 

Listen to your gut; its whispers heed,

 For in discernment, wisdom takes the lead.

Test everybody before trust you give,

 In the heartless world where shadows live. 

For many are wolves in sheep’s attire,

 Testing hearts with hidden fire.

So let caution be your guide in every step you take, 

Test before trust, for your own sake.

 For in the world’s deceit, dangers abound,

 But with discerning eyes, truth is found.
