Change Your Ways (Poem)

Whatever is done in the dark will come to light,

It’s time to change your ways and do what’s right.

For light will always reign over darkness,

Bringing truth to the lies, exposing all harshness.

The Lord is not slow in bringing justice near,

He waits with patience, so do not fear.

He wants no one lost, no soul to fall,

But for everyone to repent and heed His call.

Learn from the errors and mistakes of the past,

Power corrupts, and that never lasts.

Your deeds of darkness bring pain and despair,

Even to those you love, it’s time to care.

How long will you serve the shadows in vain?

Look in the mirror and reflect on your pain.

Stop the manipulation, the lies, the deceit,

Stop tearing down lives, making love retreat.

Especially when Jesus is Lord over their soul,

Don’t mess with the children of God; lose control.

For the light of His mercy is shining on you,

And He’s calling you now to walk in what’s true.

God is rich in mercy, His arms open wide,

Repent now, and let Him be your guide.

Ask for His forgiveness, seek the Savior’s face,

And walk in the light, bathed in His grace.

In facing the consequence of what you’ve done,

Call on the Lord; He’s the Only One.

To save your soul and give you strength,

To endure what’s ahead and find peace at length.

Change your ways; there’s still time to choose,

Walk in the light and no longer lose.

For mercy is waiting, love’s at your door,

Choose the way of life forevermore.
