All I want to Hear (Poem)

In this journey through life’s maze,

 A pilgrimage of nights and days.

 Before I came, I agreed to this fate, 

Though memories fade, my soul awaits.

The details lost in time’s embrace, 

But within my soul, I find my grace.

 I’ve witnessed much in this reality,

 The good, the bad, the brutality.

Now, at this moment, as I stand,

 I seek to fulfill the divine command.

 To please the One who sent me forth, 

To spread love and light from south to north.

For on that day, when all is said and done,

 When the setting of life’s journey sun,

 All I want to hear, in my heart’s ear,

 It is “Thank you, faithful servant,” loud and clear.

Through trials and triumphs, I’ve journeyed far,

 Guided by the light of the northern star.

 Though memories fade, my purpose rings true, 

To serve with love in all I do.

So, let my actions speak, louder than words, 

Let my heart sing like the sweetest birds.

 For on that day, when the end draws near,

 All I want to hear is, “Well done, loud and clear.”
