Angels

Angels are spirits created by God. They are pure in nature and are from the divine. The word Angel comes from the Greek word aggelos, which means messenger.
Most people have heard of Guardian Angels, which means our personal angels that guide, protect and help us. From a biblical perspective, the word Guardian Angel is not in the Bible, but that does not mean we do not have our personal angels.
In the book of Hebrews 1:14; Angels are called ministering spirits, sent to serve those who will inherit salvation.

We have established that Angels are messengers, but whose messengers? I would say God’s messengers, not our personal agents.
So as we know that they are ministering spirits, the word minister means to attend to the needs of someone….., my next question would be who gives the instructions. (God, Man or both)

I would say, God; the simple reason is that, if their orders were from a man, then we could affect God’s plan for us. For example, let’s say we are in a challenging situation, but it’s God intention that we go through the tough situation, so we can learn and be prepared for God’ s use.

If the orders came from us, we would call upon our angels to deliver us, and orchestrate an easy and straightforward way out, of what God wants to us overcome.  Examples would be the in the life of King David and Joseph.

No human being likes to go through hard situations, in as much as we know such challenging circumstances are essential for growth, and in such endeavour how we learn life lessons which are necessary for character development.

In my spiritual journey, I have heard of teachings in commanding angels; I don’t take the same stance. I believe we can ask for help – such as give me a hand angels in a such and such situation, but it’s not up to us to provide details on how the aid should be carried out.

I believe the details would be in alignment with God’s plan for us. Having said that I think it is important that we are aware of our angels, and we say things like assist me angels in this Situation A or Situation B, etc.
To reiterate they are not our messengers, but God’s messengers to help us. That being the case, it would serve us better if we interact with them, by asking for help, without giving details how their assistance should come about and also thanking them when we notice the divine has been or is at work in events that relate to us, or in general.

You might say who should I thank, God, the Holy Spirit, Jesus or Angels.
I would just thank them all. The reason is simple and logical which is the more engagement with the supernatural, the closer the relationship.

Like in the natural, we would be more expectant with someone with have a relationship with,  as compared to someone we don’t have any association with whatsoever.

Until Next time, Keep Believing Keep Hoping & Keep Loving.
