Cause and Effect (Poem)

In the land of Gaza, a tragedy unfolds,
Children falling to bombs, stories left untold.
Cause and effect, an inevitable decree,
Innocents are paying for man’s ego, a sorrowful plea.

Why must the innocent bear the cost?
Man’s pride is a line drawn in the dust.
Peace eludes, like a fleeting dream,
Four thousand babies lost, a chilling scream.

Leadership lacking in spiritual sight,
Foresight is needed to set things right.
The bigger picture, obscured by strife,
Four thousand lives gone, pleading for life.

Ceasefire, a call echoing through the land,
Enough tragedy, enough blood on the sand.
Children’s cries, a universal plea,
For peace to reign, for hearts to see.

Cause and effect, a universal law,
In Gaza’s sorrow, in the wounds so raw.
May wisdom guide, may compassion lead,
Ceasefire now, for humanity’s need.
