Commit your Works (Poem)

In the quiet chambers of our soul, we scheme and plan, 

Thinking we hold the reins, we’re the ones in command.

 Yet, from the Lord’s vast wisdom, answers softly come, 

Guiding us through life’s maze towards our destined sum.

Each man deems his path righteous, his intentions pure, 

Blinded by self-assurance, in his own eyes secure. 

But the Lord delves deeper into the heart’s abyss, 

Weighing every motive, revealing truth’s true kiss.

Commit your works, surrender them to His divine hand, 

Trust in His guiding light, His purpose grand.

 For in His boundless grace, success finds its course, 

When we heed His call with unwavering force.

Every creation has a purpose, every soul a role to play,

 Even in darkness, the wicked serve His sway.

 Trust in His plan, though it may seem unclear, 

For He orchestrates all, drawing us ever near.
