The Continuous Labor to enter into God’s Rest

The walk of Faith, expected by a Christian, comes hand in hand with entering into God’s rest.

What I have realized and am sure you have too is that sometimes we are more at rest than other times. In other words, one moment we have filled peace with no worry on our mind, the next moment ( which could be hours, a day, etc.) our feeling could be the opposite.

Then we start to question God, and ask questions like, Does it have to take this long, Can God hear my prayers, or Does God answer prayers? The list goes on.

Then we conclude, maybe by talking to someone or reading something that our method of prayer must not be right, and we then and change our method or style.

What is happening is that we are slipping out of God’s rest, another way to put it the Power on us is diminishing, it’s dissipating.

The right thing to do is, to go and labor to enter back into God’s full rest, this is done by getting some power on us- which happenings by prayer.

Let’s look at Romans 8. 26- 28

26.So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.

27 And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is] because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will.

28 We are assured and know that [[a]God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

We do not know what to pray for, so we pray in the spirit, ( this is essential for a surrendered Christian that just want’s God’s perfect will. )
As all things will work out for good for those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose, what more can we ask for right?

So when ever the mind seems to worry a little bit, or is concerned about the situation at hand, such a person spiritually battery needs to be charged up. It happened to everybody, but doing the right thing is important in fulfilling our destiny.

The work of the Lord must be done, as it is the good news. I was watching a Christian movie the other day, and someone that had had a challenging life found the Lord and gave her life to Christ, in as much as it was the just movie I still had tears in my eyes, the simple reason is The Gospel is the Truth.

To be available and used by God, we have always know how to enter into His rest. When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, most of them died in the wilderness and didn’t enter into the Promise Land because the couldn’t enter into God’s rest.

To be honest, it’s easier for us in the New Testament because we have the Holy Spirit. It is an honor to serve the Lord, but as God told Joshua 3 times in one chapter to be strong and of good courage, God is saying the same thing to us today.

I get discouraged myself, but after I watched and listened to a sermon called “Ministry Assignment.” I felt God was saying; everybody has to do their part.
It wasn’t easy for Jesus to hang on a cross.( see the passion for Christ the movie).

If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, and you want a relationship with the true living God also getting your Soul saved, Please say the following from your heart,

Dear God, please forgive me for my sins, I repent today of my wrong doings and accept your Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Amen. Ask God to lead you what to do next.
