Deliver me Oh God (Rap)

(Verse 1) Deliver me, O God, from my enemies’ grip; set me on high, where their malice won’t slip. From those who practice wrongdoing, let them trip; save me from bloodthirsty men on their wicked ship.

(Chorus) They lie in ambush, seeking to claim my life; fierce and powerful, they’re fueled by strife. Not for my wrongdoing or any sinful rife, O Lord, they attack me, seeking to end my life.

(Verse 2) They run and set themselves, though I’m guiltless here. Stir Yourself, O Lord, and my plea, do hear. See their wickedness. Your judgment is near; Arise, O God, and dispel all their fear.

(Bridge) God of hosts, God of Israel, arise today, Punish all nations, let justice have its say. Spare none who treacherously plot evil’s way; let righteousness shine and wickedness decay.

(Chorus) At evening, they return, howling like a pack; around the city, like prowling wolves, they attack. Their mouths belch insults, a venomous, vile knack, But You, O Lord, in scorn, their malice, You’ll whack.

(Verse 3) Their lips wield swords, their hearts filled with lies; they mock, “Who hears us?” with deceitful cries. You, O Lord, scoff at them. To their surprise, I’ll watch for You, my strength, as the new day skies rise.

(Chorus) Do not kill them, let Your people not forget, Scatter them, make them wander, in their sins let them be set. For the sin of their mouths, in pride, they’re beset; let curses and lies on their own heads be met.

(Outro) In Your wrath, O Lord, destroy them, make them cease, Let them know Your rule, and in You find their peace. To the ends of the earth, may Your justice increase, O God, my strength, my refuge, my fortress, my release.
They return in the evening, like howling dogs, they roam, Seeking food to devour; in their hearts, no home. But as for me, I’ll sing of Your mighty, righteous tome, O God, my strength, my refuge, in You, I’ll forever comb.

To You, my God, my strength, my praises I raise, In Your lovingkindness, I’ll find all my days. You’re my stronghold, my refuge, in all my ways; in Your steadfast love, my heart forever stays.
