Fearless Trust in God (Poem)

The LORD is my light and my salvation— Whom shall I fear? In His radiant glow, I find my foundation, His refuge, and fortress, forever near.

When wickedness surrounds, seeks to devour, Adversaries and foes in their wicked might, They stumble and fall, their strength to lower, For in God’s embrace, I find my light.

Though armies may gather, their banners unfurled, My heart stands undaunted, without a doubt, For God is my shield in this tumultuous world. In His strength and grace, I am devout.

One thing I desire, one pursuit I hold dear, is To dwell in God’s presence, both day and night, In the house of the LORD, with no need for fear, To bask in His beauty, my soul’s true delight.

When God spoke, “Seek My face, draw near to Me,” My heart responded with unwavering trust. To seek His face in prayer, His presence to see, In His Word, I place my faith and adjust.

Teach me Your way, O LORD, guide me on this path, A path that is level, through trials and strife, For enemies wait, in the ambush they hath, But with God by my side, I embrace life.

In the land of the living, I’ll see His grace. Though despair may tempt me with its bitter sting, I hold steadfast faith in His loving embrace, For in God’s goodness, my heart will sing.
