Girl, your beauty, a sight, it’s true,
Captivating, through and through.
But beyond the surface, beneath the hue,
Lies a gap, a trust issue.
I’ve pondered, reflected, tried to see,
But the trust I seek just cannot be.
Not mine to mold or to decree,
Right from wrong, that key is thee.
Society’s maze, its moral plight,
Struggles to discern the dark from light.
Yet, in this dance, my heart takes flight,
For without trust, there’s no end in sight.
I sense a story, untold, unseen,
An agent, a spy, or something in between?
My gut, my guide, on this, it’s keen,
To pass, to let go of what could’ve been.
It’s not for me to judge or to amend,
But on trust, my love, it does depend.
So here, our paths they must diverge,
On different courses, we emerge.
Girl, you’re attractive, this is true,
But without trust, what can we do?
I wish you well in all you pursue,
As I walk away, I start anew.
