God has given us the Victory (Poem)

In the battle’s fervent fray,
God has granted us the way,
According to our heart’s desire,
Fulfilling each purpose, each burning fire.

Triumphant shouts resound on high,
At your salvation, victory nigh,
In the name of God, our banners rise,
For He has heard our fervent cries.

Every petition He has fulfilled,
His anointed ones, forever stilled,
From His holy heaven, He answers clear,
With saving strength, dispelling fear.

Some in chariots put their trust,
In horses’ might, their hopes adjust,
But we boast not in earthly gain,
For in the Lord, our trust remains.

Though others fall and are brought low,
We stand upright, our faith aglow,
For the Lord has given us the prize,
In His grace, our victory lies.

So let us raise our voices high,
In praise to God, who reigns on high,
For in His love, we find our rest,
In Him alone, we are truly blessed.

God has given us the victory,
Let us rejoice in His sovereignty,
Forever grateful, forever faithful and true,
To the God who sees us through.
