Goodness and Mercy (Poem)

In the natural’s grasp, I won’t be confined, Awakened perception, a new state of mind. Sight no longer binds me to what’s seen; in the written truths, my faith is keen.

I walk by the Word, the living, divine; its wisdom and power forever is Christ. No matter the world’s distractions, I’m free, Guided by promises, anchored like a tree.

Goodness and mercy, companions so near, Tracking my steps, wiping every tear. Their presence transcends what my eyes perceive; in every circumstance, they never leave.

Through life’s twists and turns, they’re my guide, Walking beside me, forever by my side. In each endeavor, their grace takes the lead In moments of triumph in times of need.

Your names on my lips, engraved in my heart, Guiding my thoughts, a work of divine art. With every utterance, Your essence takes flight, Filling my days with Your radiant light.

As a man thinks so, his life unfurls; I choose thoughts that paint the world with pearls. In the goodness and mercy of the Lord, I confide, Their presence my refuge, a constant guide.

Belief in my heart, confession on my tongue, In their embrace, I’m forever strong. Goodness and mercy, like a faithful stream In the tapestry of life, they’re the ultimate themes.

Thank you, Jesus, for mercy that’s endless; in every moment, they’re truly peerless. Your goodness surrounds a fortress so true; in your embrace, I find life anew.
