Goodness and Mercy (Song)

(Verse 1) In the natural world, where sights may deceive, I’ve awakened to truths I now believe. No longer bound by what’s right in front of me, In the written Word, I find clarity.

Awakened from slumber, a new way to be, Going beyond the surface, beyond what I see. The living Word within me takes its stand, Guiding my steps, holding my hand.

(Verse 2) The Word on my lips, engraved in my heart, Goodness and mercy, never to depart. Through life’s twists and turns, they remain my guide; in each endeavor, they’re right by my side.

Blessed as I go out, blessed when I return, Their presence and favor, in every turn. Goodness and mercy, a constant refrain, Filling my life with joy like gentle rain.

Thank you, Jesus, for mercy so tender; in every day’s journey, their light, I surrender. Your Goodness surrounds a fortress so strong; in Your care, I forever belong.
