(Verse 1)
Strive to enter through the narrow door,
Where faith must rise, sin’s allure to ignore.
For many will try, by their own deeds,
But find the door closed to their pleas.
(Chorus)
“I do not know you,” the Master will say,
To those who wandered from His way.
Though they ate and drank in His presence near,
Their hearts were distant, their faith unclear.
(Verse 2)
Standing outside, they’ll knock in vain,
But the door to grace will not be regained.
“We taught in your streets,” they’ll desperately cry,
But the Lord will answer with a solemn sigh.
(Chorus)
“I do not know you,” the Master will say,
To those who wandered from His way.
Though they ate and drank in His presence near,
Their hearts were distant, their faith unclear.
(Bridge)
In sorrow and pain, they’ll weep and mourn,
As they see the righteous welcomed and adorned.
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the prophets of old,
In the kingdom of God, their stories are told.
(Chorus)
“I do not know you,” the Master will say,
To those who wandered from His way.
Though they ate and drank in His presence near,
Their hearts were distant, their faith unclear.
(Outro)
So let us heed His warning call,
Lest we stumble and falter, losing it all.
For in the kingdom, some will be last,
And others first, their faith steadfast.
