My Many Enemies (Poem)

In the atmosphere, they lurk, my many enemies,
Their faces changed, their hatred burning bright.
Their schemes and plots, like tangled webs they weave,
Yet in You, O Lord, I find my guiding light.

Everywhere I turn, they seem to follow,
Their cruel intentions aimed to bring me down.
But with Your grace, I stand unyielding,
In Your protection, I find solid ground.

Thank You, O God, for Your steadfast shield,
For delivering me from their wicked ways.
Though they may seek to harm and destroy,
Your love and mercy never stray.

Do all chosen ones endure such trials?
This persecution, these enemies galore?
Perhaps it’s the cross I must carry,
A burden is heavy, yet I’ll bear it evermore.

For I am a spiritual warrior,
Bound by faith, I’ll never retreat.
In the face of adversity, I’ll stand strong,
With You, O Lord, my victory is sweet.
