The Challenge is REST. 1 

Sometimes when I wake up in the morning after a night of attacks, the Holy Spirit will have to tell me to pray before we dialogue. There are several reasons for this, such as :

1. The Power in me is too low, and I am not in place of Faith. 
2. As we just live by Faith, we must come up higher, in other words, raise our vibration to hear God.  

It is essential to spend quality with God when we wake UP in the morning as it makes all the difference. I know not all people pray first thing in the morning, but we must look at the examples of our Lord Jesus Christ and even King David. The prayer routines of people of God in the Bible are not specified, but I guarantee you, most people seek God early in the morning. 

In Mark 1.35, it reads: Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left [the house], and went out to a secluded place, and was praying there. ( Amplified version).

In Psalm 63: O God, Thou art my God; early will I seek Thee. My soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for thee, in a dry and thirsty land where no water is, ( King James version). 

Anyone on a severe Spiritual Awakening would realize that we need a refilling of the Holy Spirit every moment. Still, more importantly, when we wake in the morning, as for the most part, it is during the night that the enemy plants their agenda into our minds. 

After we have grown in our Faith and walk with God, we do not do things for religious sake, but from knowing how the spiritual life works. 

All religions, including the new age, will tell us that we need to be in peace, ease, and rest to receive from God. When we are not in a place of rest or peace, we are not one with God and not tuned into His Spirit.

Jesus said My Father and I are ONE. We should be able to say the same, but as we know, nothing is AUTOMATIC. 

What messing us up is we are not often tuned in the God’s Spirit. That’s why Jesus said in Matthew 11.28, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy [to bear], and My burden is light.” (Amplified )

As we know, most of Jesus’s teachings, in the most part was in parables, and as He ( Jesus) said, He had more to say, but His disciples could not receive it. Thank goodness for the Holy Spirit through Apostles Paul, and the other Apostles helped in applying Jesus’s teaching. 

In the above verse, we see, YOU WILL FIND REST, but Jesus did not specify how other than to come to Him. 

Also, in some instances, Jesus’s teaching seems simple, but the application can be a challenge. Seeing similar verses in the Bible – such as Hebrews 4.11, entering God’s REST is SERIOUS, and we need the Holy Spirit’s help. 

Over the years, the Holy Spirit has helped me cultivate ways of entering into God’s rest, and sometimes it is easier than others. 

When a person is not in God’s REST, in other words, lacks PEACE, then the FLOW has stopped. A person can not receive as such person is not in FAITH, and unbelief is at work.
