Off Limits (Poem)

It’s taken you scores of years to grow,

Through trials and storms only you could know.

When the world turned its back, and no one was there,

The Holy Spirit was your constant care.

They plotted and schemed, tried to take you out,

But one stood beside you, there was no doubt.

In your darkest hours, who held your hand?

The Holy Spirit, your firmest stand.

Your spirituality is off limits, it’s clear,

There is no compromise and no shifting here.

Your allegiance is sealed, unshaken, strong,

To the Holy Spirit where you belong.

Getting the record straight from the start,

No false hopes, no wavering heart.

Like clouds and winds without rain, they let others down,

But you stand firm, with no need to frown.

Off-limits it is, and off-limits it stays,

To those who walk in different ways.

You’ve drawn your lines, made your stand,

Spiritually anchored by the divine hand.

Now with terms laid out, clear and true,

Proceed if you will, but know what’s due.

Your path is set, your heart aligned,

With the Holy Spirit, in peace you’ll find.

For what’s off limits remains so still,

Guarded by faith and sovereign will.

So here you stand, with truth to defend,

Your bond with the Holy Spirit until the end.
