One of the Greatest (Poem)

One of the greatest characters a person could hold,

Is honesty—worth more than diamonds or gold?

A person of integrity, strong and true,

Is a rare gem in a world that’s lost its view.

“My word is my bond,” a principle so pure,

A treasure so precious, hard to procure.

Yet in this world, manipulation takes the stage,

And honesty is power few can engage.

I will not lower my standards nor break,

Respect my values, for I see what’s at stake.

Trust once broken, like shattered glass,

Can never be mended, so think before you pass.

Honesty—the cornerstone of true character,

A strength rejected in today’s worldly theater.

At this stage of life, I only stand near,

The honest, transparent, and straightforward in my sphere.

So if truth’s not in you, take a hike, be gone,

For with a second’s glance, you’ll be withdrawn.

Honesty remains one of the greatest traits,

A quality that the world often underrates.

Good Lord, have your way in all I do

Holy Spirit, you are not boxed. Send the right crew

May all I do be my purpose-related

Am after your Heart, God, just like King David
