Powerful Angels for God’s Children

I heard a Minister say when he reads the Bible, he reads it for himself and not to get a sermon, and I agree with his statement. After all, it’s a personal relationship, when I write stuff, it comes from my relationship with God.

Now a particular part of the Bible came to mind, so I opened the chapter in the Bible, and what happened was more mind-blowing than the picture I had in mind.

The result was the Angel of the LORD went out and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty – five thousand (185,000) in one night.

Before I read the scripture today, I was under the impression that it was a multitude of Angels that carried out the destroying of the enemies of God’s children, but Bible says the Angel of the LORD, meaning 1 Angel did it.

As Christians, we have Angels to help us on our journey

As a matter of fact, it was a simple prayer by King Hezekiah that provoked the Angel of God to action.

The Prayer is as follows:
15 And Hezekiah prayed to the Lord saying, 16 “O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, who is enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. 17 Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib that he has sent to taunt and defy the living God. 18 It is true, O Lord, that the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the countries and their lands, 19 and have cast the gods [of those peoples] into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men’s hands, wood, and stone. Therefore they have destroyed them.

20 Now, O Lord our God, save us from his hand so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know and fully realize that You alone, Lord, are [a]God.”

After seeing or reading the above from the Word of God, my prayer would be For the Lord to open my spiritual eyes wider so that I can behold the spirit realm, and comprehend the spiritual force children of God have at their disposal.

Remember God doesn’t change, and King Hezekiah is a man just like us.
