Seeing Life (Poem)

We all see life through our own lens,

Shaped by experience, upbringing, and what makes sense.

The substance of our soul and faith intertwined,

These are the pillars, the essence we find.

Our life experiences, the trials we’ve faced,

The soul’s quiet whispers, the faith we’ve embraced.

These are the foundations of values we hold,

Different for each, yet precious as gold.

We all have different values defining who we are,

Guiding our choices, like a guiding star.

Once we have found ourselves, the truth in our being,

We must stay true to this light we are seeing.

Our perception of people, unique and varied,

Influenced by the paths we’ve carried.

Personal traits, characteristics so clear,

Qualities that define us, year after year.

Once we know our values, our unique place,

We stand firm in our truth in life’s vast space.

We cannot be manipulated nor easily swayed,

For we walk our own path, unafraid, unbetrayed.

Seeing life through our own eyes,

We find the beauty in our unique skies.

Embrace your values, your spirit, your light,

For in knowing yourself, you find true might.
