Stay Away (Poem)

In the realm where wisdom reigns supreme,
A cautionary tale with a recurring theme.
“Stay away,” the wise ones say,
From the folly where fools hold sway.

For in the company of the fool,
Knowledge hides like a distant pool.
Their lips speak not of truth nor light,
But drown in ignorance, day and night.

The prudent soul, with a thoughtful gaze,
Navigates life’s intricate maze.
Giving thought to every stride,
In wisdom’s path, they do abide.

But fools, oh fools, their folly shines,
In deception’s web, they entwine.
Mocking the notion of making amends,
Their path leads to sorrow; it never ends.

Yet among the upright, favor does reside,
And wisdom blooms like a gentle tide.
They stay focused on their purpose clear,
Blessing humanity, far and near.

So heed this wisdom, let it guide your way,
In the light of truth, forever stay.
For in staying away from folly’s snare,
You’ll find favor and wisdom beyond compare
