Stupid Energy Vampires (Poem)

In the darkest hour, a light did gleam,
Until dawn broke with the morning’s beam.
God’s power bestowed life and more,
Divine nature within, to adore.

You siphon my energy, you drain my might,
But I reclaim it all with divine right.
A million-fold, I take it back from you,
Your dirty games are nothing new.

Tricks you play, to steal and deceive,
But against God’s servant, you’ll only grieve.
Every ounce, every bit you take,
Returns to me a grander stake.

You think you fool, wearing masks anew,
But I’ve seen your game; I’ve walked through.
No more tricks left, no more disguise,
The devil’s game, I recognize.

You mimic my form, in your facade so bright,
But the power you steal returns to its rightful height.
A million-fold, it multiplies back to me,
You’re nothing but a stupid energy vampire, you see.

So wear your white, play your music’s beat,
Every ounce you take returns in fleet.
I take it back with a force untold,
Stupid energy vampire, your grip’s grown old.
