Subjugate (Rap)

(Verse 1) Listen up, let me take you back in time,
When Columbus sailed, a new world to find.
He met the Arawak, a people so kind,
Trading all they had, with hearts intertwined.

No weapons they bore, no violence they knew,
But a sword was shown a deadly debut.
In ignorance, they cut, not knowing the way,
And their fate was sealed on that fateful day.

(Chorus) Have you ever felt the urge to control,
To dominate someone, make ’em play a role?
It’s a European mentality, a tale untold
From Renaissance kings in history’s stronghold.

(Verse 2) In the age of power, priests and kings reigned,
Absolute dominion, and the masses in chains.
The quest for new lands, for wealth untold,
Ignored the cries of the oppressed as stories unfold.

They aimed to subjugate, with fifty men in line,
To enslave a whole people a heinous design.
But this isn’t the path we’re destined to tread;
We’ll break the chains of oppression instead.

(Bridge) Let’s rise above, learn from our history’s pain,
Teach love and compassion, and let unity reign.
We won’t perpetuate the darkness of old;
Together, we’ll write a story so bold.

(Verse 3) We’re all descendants of a complex past,
A history of subjugation shadows cast.
But we’ll confront the past.
And break free from despair;
With love in our hearts, we’ll show we care.
