To qualify to teach another person in a particular area, required is that the teacher has the knowledge ( Theory ) and or Practical experience in such specialized field.
However, some people are called and have natural abilities and gifts in some specific area or field.
Even if a person is naturally gifted and has the textbook knowledge in whatever field, without experience, such a person would lack the Compassion and Authority required to carry out the service efficiently.
An example could be a football coach, who has never played football, in as much as such person could have all the degrees and know how in coaching. If such person has never played football then a lot of skills on dealing with what the players are feeling their emotions etc.
would be missing and ultimately hinder his / her work as a coach.
If a person has never had pain or affliction, it would be hard for such a person to have compassion and sympathy for what some else is going through.
I heard a preacher man say; he never trusts anyone who has never been tested or afflicted, the simple reason is that such people lack compassion.
Also if preaching the word as you have been taught maybe in bible college or seminary, but lack the in between(experience) which is very important, then something is lacking, and the congregation will not entirely believe the message.
Without practical experience which would include pain in specific areas, would make the preacher lack the Authority, and not believable.
Knowing the word is essential, the Anointing and the Authority are equally or even more critical. People can always tell if a person has lived what they are preaching.
The Best teachers, preachers coaches, are people that have lived what they are trying to convey to other people.
In Isaiah 63:9 it says In all their affliction He was afflicted ….And the Angel of His Presence saved them.
A person’s real and honest testimony is powerful to give hope to someone going a situation they have never seen before.
So dear textbook preachers, please have some compassion (even if you lack the authority due to lack of experience ) and use care when delivering the Word of God.
Out of the blue, I have to put the following verse as I believe it is for someone out there faced with injustice
” Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
Until next time, Keep Believing, Keep Hoping & Keep Loving.
Peace. Daniel
