The Children of Syria need our Prayers

It’s easier turn a blind eye to what’s going on in Syria than to voice an opinion. However, some issue can’t be shaken off.

As we all try to imagine what goes on in the mind of so-called leaders like Assad and Putin his supporter, more innocent people are dying by the hundreds and thousands.

Not only do I wonder how such people like Assad sleep at night with all the blood on his hands, but the blood of children that have died as a result of his holding on to power are also crying for justice.

When do some leaders cling to power, at the expense of lives of their citizens? Justice will prevail, that I know for sure, both here on earth and in the spirit world.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely, power to some leader is like a drug, and they get addicted to power and can’t relinquish it, even if thousands of people have died as a result.

I know there are two sides to a story, but how silly can he be to let all the blood of innocent people be on his hands. He will reap what he has sown; there are no two ways about that.

Assad became President of Syria in 2000, after the death of his father. His father ruled from 1971 till the time of his death. Bashar al- Assad got to be the leader of the Ba’ath Party and commander in chief, after a public referendum which he ran unopposed and gained 97% of the votes.

Regardless of how long he and his family has stayed in power, which is 1971, the damaged recently done by the six year plus civil war is too much.

The honourable thing to do or what should have been done ages ago is for Assad to step down and call for an election. What has happened and continues to happen in Syria is a clear indication that his time is up.

How many more children have to die before he gets the message? When I see the horror and suffering the people of Syria are facing, makes me so convinced that this is not the real world. There has to be something better than this.

The last straw that broke the camel’s back was the suspected chemical weapons used on his people including children; this has to be it.

Personally, all I can do is pray, don’t forget that prayers can and will change things, so join me and let us pray for a solution to this war-torn country especially, the children and their mothers.

Until next time. Keep Believing, Keep Hoping & Keep Loving.

Peace. Daniel
