The Eyes of the Lord (Poem)

In the quiet of the night, in the glare of day,

 The eyes of the Lord never stray. 

A soft answer, a gentle word, turns away wrath,

 But harshness breeds anger, paving a treacherous path.

The tongue of the wise, a beacon of light,

 Guides with knowledge, shining so bright.

 But the mouth of fools, with foolishness untamed,

 Pours forth folly, leaving hearts maimed.

In every corner, in every space, 

The eyes of the Lord, with unwavering grace.

 Watching over the evil, watching over the good,

 In their sight, all deeds understood.

God’s judgment falls, swift and sure,

 On the wicked’s schemes, their intentions are impure.

 For those who steal from God’s anointed ones, 

And hinder the chosen from their heavenly runs.

Enemies brought upon themselves, they see,

 For in God’s eyes, there’s no place to flee. 

I see you, they say, with a righteous nod,

 And God’s judgment falls on those who trod.

So let us heed the wisdom’s call, 

In the sight of the Lord, let our hearts stand tall.

 For in their eyes, truth shines bright,

 And in their judgment rests what’s right.
