The incomparable Power of a Christian 13.

The Holy Spirit in us & on us. 2

It is the Spirit that gives life the flesh profits nothing (John 6:63), to a non-Christian seeing this verse, you might be asking what in the world does this verse mean.

My understanding of this verse is the fact that the real us is Spirit, and when our Spirit connects to the Holy Spirit (this can only happen when we become born again). Then the supernatural comes on us, then this enables us to operate in a higher dimension, that our flesh will never be able to achieve nor comprehend.

A robust, powerful spirit can carry our physical body and can fix all the defects that it has, (healing) this can happen by a spoken word, laying on of hands and thoughts (as a man thinks, so is he).

The flesh can’t do that, a person might be good looking with all the money in the world but has its limitations.

Our Spirit, when connected with the Holy Spirit, and being filled with the Holy Spirit of Almighty God, anything thing can happen. It’s exciting when such words are preached, and it gets folks clapping and shouting and stuff, but often times, no one mentions the price to pay to acquire such awesome power (amount in terms of lifestyle to walk with God). It gets lonely sometimes, but the power is real.

The reason it gets lonely is because one tends not to trust anyone, a person would have seen a lot of fake folks and liars along their journey.

Biblically it is not a bad thing not to trust people as in the book of Jeremiah it says the following

Jeremiah 17:5, 7 Amplified Bible (AMP)

5: Thus says the LORD,
“Cursed is the man who trusts in and relies on mankind,
Making [weak, faulty human] flesh his strength,
And whose mind and heart turn away from the LORD.

7: “Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the LORD
And whose hope and confident expectation is the LORD.

The two above verses will be forced on you by life’s experience, once you have seen the lies, manipulation and dark magic humans use, no one will teach you never to trust in man, as you will know that your trust has to be in God only.

Today’s blog is about how to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Now, there is a war going on within every human being. This insight has been given to us by the great Apostle Paul in the book of Galatians.

Galatians 5:17 International Standard Version (ISV)
17 For what the flesh wants is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, and so you do not do what you want to do.

There will always be opposition, an evil spiritual resistance, that doesn’t want a person to embrace fellowship with God.

Such distractions are planned by the enemy of our soul. When we start to fellowship with God, we will ultimately be one with God, as Jesus said He and His Father are one.

When we are one with God, we see differently. The Holy Spirit begins to open our eyes.

The enemy doesn’t want this to happen because he wants to control the people with distractions – such as television, social media, computer games, having fun, etc.

All these distractions are taking peoples power and blinding the spiritual eyes of the masses.

The distractions mentioned about have been designed to feed the flesh, which then makes us weak, and not strong in spiritual things, and we can then say in general the flesh is weak, even if the Spirit is willing.

Matthew 26:41.
Watch and pray, so you don’t fall into temptation, for the Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

How to be filled up with the Holy Spirit of God

To be filled with the Holy Spirit starts with what we feed our senses with.

Senses such as Hearing and our Sight.

Hearing, what we listen to, what type of music, what’s the message of the music one listens to as this affects our Spirit and soul. You can listen to an audio bible, which is suitable for one’s Spirit ( powerful)

Sight, what type of movies do you watch, the kind of television a person watches says a lot about the person, the less or no TV, the better, but that’s a personal decision. What we watch also affects our soul and Spirit.

Devotion & Prayer. One should have a regular time of prayer and reading the Word of God, the most enormous power in the world comes from praying, it’s also good to add fasting, depending on one’s schedule at any point in time.

Finally, ask for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of praying in tongues – this was the secret to the Great Apostle Paul’s power, and he did it a lot.

I do get a lot of spiritual attacks writing these blogs, so keep me in prayers if want me to continue to write them.

Remember Jesus Christ is the Light & Saviour of the World.

God Bless
