The Incomparable Power of a Christian 25

The Holy Spirit helps us contend for our Faith.

I didn’t plan to write today. However, this morning during my prayer and devotion time, the Holy Spirit gave me a vision, and I was to go to this place.

I didn’t have a clue why and wanted to put it off till next week, but thank goodness I didn’t, and I was obedient, as I could have missed what God wanted to say.

This place, actually a Church, I have never visited before nor did I know the name. I just knew the location and familiar with the area as my sister lived near the neighborhood many years ago.

The area has changed a lot, and as I was approaching the location, I saw a lot of people of a different faith (Muslims), as there were a couple of mosques around the area.

When I got to the destination, the name of the Church is called St Gabriel, and the service was to start in an hour and fifteen minutes time.

I then went for a drive, wondering why the Lord asked me to come to St. Gabriel’s Church. It’s typical of the Lord to ask his servants to go to a particular place, and He would speak to them, it’s in the bible and it’s common in the Faith.

However, I still didn’t know why He asked to go to St Gabriel’s Church. I later found out that today was Eid a religious celebration for Muslims, and that then answered why I saw a lot of them in their religious outfit.

To point out, I have nothing against people of different faiths, each to their own. Amen, I have come across people of different Faiths, and some of them are brilliant people. I am not an Evangelist.

When I got back to the Church, I was observant, as I wanted to know the reason I was sent here and what the Lord wanted to say.

Before the service started, I HEARD THE LORD SAY WE HAVE TO CONTEND FOR THE FAITH. As I pondered on it, then it all started to come together. Other religions take their Faith more serious than Christians, and they are growing in number.

As I googled contend for the Faith, It was the book of Jude.

I also realised from an article by the ‘Bible project’ that the verse/text was used to refute corrupt teachers / preachers who lived immoral lives.

Let’s have a look at Jude 3 & 4

Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I was compelled to write to you [urgently] appealing that you [a]fight strenuously / Contend  for [the defense of] the Faith which was once for all [b]handed down to the saints [the Faith that is the sum of Christian belief that was given verbally to believers].

4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed [just as if they were sneaking in by a side door]. They are ungodly persons whose condemnation was predicted long ago, for they distort the grace of our God into decadence and immoral freedom [viewing it as an opportunity to do whatever they want], and deny and disown our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Putting all this together, the reason the Lord sent me to this particular area was to show me this other religion take their Faith more serious than us, most of the people in this congregation were elderly; hence my question is how come the younger generation think they don’t need God?

In verse 4 in the Book of Jude says, “For certain people have crept in unnoticed. God’s DIVINE ORDER IS in His word, those that have crept in the Church (I don’t need to mention who they are, as we all know them and the Churches they control) and trying to change God’s divine order.

Those that crept in, will ultimately affect the Faith, and God is saying we have to earnestly contend for the Faith. God is going to Judge the Pastors that have sold out and compromised severely, unless they repent.

People were martyred, burned alive for the Faith /Christianity, those that took the courage to translate the Bible to English (William Tyndale) and Martin Luther risked his life (protestant reformation) for the liberty you and I enjoy today.

If this generation thinks they can sell out and bring another doctrine (doctrine of demons) / PREACH another Jesus and believe / think they will go SCOT FREE, sorry to disappoint you, but you taught wrong.

WE MUST FOLLOW GOD’S DIVINE ORDER. He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches. (Revelation 2:29)

Remember Jesus Christ is the Light & Saviour of the World.

God Bless
