The Incomparable Power of a Christian 31

The Holy Spirit shows us God’s Divine Order 5

This Divine order I am about to write about is so important to the Christian faith.

It has turned off unbelievers away from even wanting to have anything to do with the Faith.

Also a lot of believers, it has caused a shipwreck to their Faith

This Divine Order is called MONEY.

We have a brand of Christianity called Prosperity Gospel.

From my observation, particular Churches are big on tithes and offering, some Churches such as the Catholic Church and the Church of England (Anglican Church) will only ask for an offering.

What is a tithe? A tithe is one-tenth of annual produce or earnings, formerly taken as a tax for the support of the Church and clergy.

There is a lot about the tithe in the Old Testament, now we are under the New Testament, therefore technically it doesn’t apply, and I like to believe that’s the reason why the Catholic and Anglican Church don’t ask for it or use that term.

I don’t see the tithe as a Law, but as a spiritual principle, what I mean by that is, when you give you receive. The Spiritual Significance of the tithe still applies, and I believe in it.

Now the question is if you choose to give a tenth of your earning away, who do you give it to?, well technically it could be the Church feeding you spiritually.

However, what if a Church is not really feeding you spiritually, then if you desire you can give the tithe to a Charity, – an orphanage, sponsor a child from a developing country, etc.

A lot of unbelievers have seen Christian television, and it seems most of them are hustling for your money, and, the whole emphasis is about giving, to the extent that you ask yourself, Do I have to pay for a blessing?.

Some Churches preach the right message on God’s blessing then after the message they ask you to sow a seed to receive the blessing of the Word just preached

A lot of the prosperity teaching is around giving; basically, you give and get blessed. Now a lot of their teaching can be backed up with scriptures, which I am going to write down shortly, (bible verses) so one could say that then there is nothing wrong.

I believe it’s essential that Christian knows the spiritual principle involving our life, including money, but the preaching of money should be secondary and not the core message of Christianity.

People have seen in many instances, that it’s Prosperity preachers that get rich from taking the money of the members of the congregation

As a Christian, we believe that everything we have comes from God, including what we earn, and to give a tenth of it away, is merely going God’s work.

So if you choose to give the tithe to an orphanage, or a Church that feeds you spiritually, one is technically helping other people’s needs in which they would have prayed to God about.

The Bible says God blesses us to be a blessing (Genesis 12.2).

In as much as Jesus & Apostle Paul did not teach on tithing, they both taught on giving. Let’s see some of their teachings:

Luke, 6.38, Amplified.

Give, and [gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour [a]into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you.

Some people have the natural gift to be generous, we will rip what we sow, and sometimes a person’s generosity could invoke a blessing on the giver’s children, for example, or future generations

So Jesus is saying give, and one would get more back, NOW, Looking at the above verse, it’s not limited to the Church nor does it have to be the Church.

Matthew 6.3-4

But when you give to the poor and do acts of kindness, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing [give in complete secrecy], 4 so that your charitable acts will be done in secret; and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you

Again reading the above verse, God rewards us when we help Him out by giving to the poor. Jesus taught spiritual principles.

One has to come to the place of understanding that Christianity is about learning and understanding spiritual law’s and principles, just like we have Laws from Science such as gravity.

Apostle Paul gave us the following giving principles

2 Corinthians 9:7 Amplified

Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift].

According to the above verse, we should not be manipulated, and hypnotized into giving as this happens in some Churches, the false and fake preachers see the House of God as a business, – and how much money they can make from the people.

It’s a good practice to be generous and be a giving person, as we help others we are doing God’s work, and He would reward the giver. We don’t technically give to get back, it’s just a spiritual principle & law, that as we give, the blessing comes back.

Prosperity is in the Bible, so I am not knocking it; however, it should be secondary, not the primary preaching of a Church.

It is a good thing to be successful and prosperous, and to do you; I would say find your passion and put your heart and soul into it.

Once you have found your passion, then have a vision. Talking about being a visionary, I would like to say that Richard Williams is one of the greatest visionaries of all times.

As a female Tennis fan myself, I see many other parents around the world have emulated the vision/model he had for his daughters (Venus & Serena) for their children.

Naomi Osaka’s Father, pretty much copied what Richard Williams did, and we see the outcome.

Serena Williams and Bianca Andreescu will be battling it out later today at the Finals of the US Opens.

Serena on the verge of making history and Bianca on the edge of her first grand slam. I wish both ladies all the best. Don’t forget to say a prayer.

Back in the day, I remember Serena would thank Jehovah in the open, after a winning, Serena you would sure need Him today, as we know Bianca is a fighter.

Remember Jesus Christ is the Light & Saviour of the World.

God Bless

Until Next time, Keep Believing, Keep Hoping & Keep Loving.
