The Lord our God is One. (Poem)

Love the Lord your God with heart, soul, and mind,
With all your strength, let no part be left behind.
In every thought and every action, you’ll find
A devotion that is pure, transcendent, and kind.

And “Love your neighbor as yourself,” the call,
No commandment greater, none above it all.
In this love, we catch a glimpse of the divine,
A mirror of the heart, where His virtues shine.

God is One, and there is no other,
In this truth, we find our brother.
To love Him fully, to love each other,
Is the essence of His command a sacred cover?

More important than offerings, more than sacrifice,
Is a heart turned to God, without vice.
To love with understanding, with all your might,
In this, we please God; in this, we find light.

So let us love, with all we are,
Near and far, to every star.
For in love, we embody His command,
In unity, together we stand.

The Lord our God, the Lord is One,
From dawn’s first light to the setting sun.
In His love, our lives are spun,
By His grace, may His will be done.
