The Miraculous Metal 2

The Miraculous metal  pertains to the Catholic sect of Christianity. As I mentioned in the Miraculous 1 blog, I consider myself a non-denominational Christian. Christianity is my Faith. I don’t like the word religion, as religion to me is Man trying to control man and putting people in bondage.
Jesus is my Lord and Saviour, and He is the Son of God period. I have  been  through the spectrum of Christianity and have picked up what works for me along the way.
I believe in the miraculous medal.
The legend about the mysterious metal is that it was designed by the mother of Jesus and that anyone that wears it receives extraordinary graces.
The First Apparition.
A little child slept on July 18-19, 1830 and had a visitation in her sleep, by an angel. The name of the child was Catherine Laboure (now a Saint). The visitation happened in the community of the Daughters of Charity in Paris. The angel summoned Catherine to the chapel, and there she met with Mary, the mother of Jesus. They had a conversation that lasted for several hours. It was during the encounter that Mary said ‘’My child, I am going to give you a mission.’’

The Second Apparition
Catherine had a vision during her evening meditation on November 27, 1830, and saw Mary standing on what seemed to be half a globe and holding a golden globe in her hands depicted as an offering to heaven. On the globe was the word France, as difficulty was present in the country at the time. Mary wore rings on her fingers, and from them (rings) were many rays of light. Mary then explained that the rays were symbols of graces that are for those that ask for them. It also explained that the blessings did not come because no one asked for them.
The design of the miraculous medal was given  to Catherine, by Mary together with  a prayer was saying: O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

The medal was approved by the Church in 1832, and the first medal got distributed in Paris, and instantaneously those who wore the metals, began to realise blessings promised by Mary. As a result of manifested blessing, the people started calling it the Miraculous Medal.
Personally, I believe the story, and I wear the Rosary together with the miraculous medal.
In the book of James, it says we have not because we ask not. The Supernatural can be both from the Light (God, Jesus) and Darkness (the devil, demons). I only embrace the Light

As I said earlier I am a non-denominational Christian, in as much as the Protestant Church, do not agree with some of the practices of the Catholic Church, I resonate with the testimony of Saint Catherine Laboure.
Those who choose to wear it, remember, to wear it with Faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.
The Just shall live by Faith.

Until next time, keep Believing, Keep Hoping and Keep Loving.
Peace. Daniel
