In the midst of toil, under the sun and moon’s glow,
Lay a stone, rejected, where the wild winds blow.
Cast aside by builders, deemed unfit, unkind,
It lay forgotten, out of sight, out of mind.
Yet, in this tale of dismissal and neglect,
A twist of fate, divine and direct.
The stone, once spurned, in silence, bides its time,
Until its worth is seen, a reason in the rhyme.
For by the Lord’s hand, so wise and so grand,
The rejected stone took its stand.
Became the cornerstone, firm and bold,
In its story, it is a marvel to behold.
This is the Lord’s doing, wondrous to see,
A testament to what grace can decree.
What was once overlooked is now revered,
In its ascent, the divine intervened and steered.
From the shadows to the light, it rose,
A foundation strong, in it, confidence grows.
A symbol of hope, of unexpected grace,
In the master’s plan, everything has its place.
So, let this story be a guiding light,
For the downtrodden, in their plight.
The stone the builders once did reject,
Now, it holds the structure with respect.
A reminder, in our trials, in our sorrows,
Today’s rejection can be tomorrow’s cornerstone.
This is the Lord’s doing, marvelous in our eyes,
Proof of His love, His grandeur, His ways always wise.
