A Wise Human soul craves wisdom. 1
The Bible says that God hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous. Proverbs 2:7
The above verse is so profound, we saw this godly wisdom come to play in several Bible characters, to the fact that the rulers at the time came to a conclusion, that these individuals carried the spirit of the true living God.
Everybody needs wisdom, having wisdom enables us to act wisely. i.e., taking wise action & making smart decisions.
Wisdom is defined as, the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise.,,,,,
The word wisdom in philosophy comes from the Latin word, Sapientia and it relates to intelligence, in the opinion, common sense, prudence, knowledge.
King Solomon, who is seldom regarded as the wisest man in the Old Testament wrote in Proverbs the following:
Proverbs 4.7 The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! [For skillful and godly Wisdom is the principal thing.] And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation).
In other words, the Human soul does need wisdom and understanding. I actually think in today’s society, there is a lack of wisdom and understanding. When a person lacks wisdom and understanding, then such individuals are subject to manipulation.
I know I use certain words a lot such as manipulation and people that practice dark magic – witchcraft, but the reason is simple, I encounter them a lot, not that the perpetrators of it succeed as I have a strong discernment, but society and people fall for the tricks of men often.
As a people we need to search within for the answers we so long for, because the Kingdom of God does not come with observation, the Kingdom of God is within us. The kingdom within has all the answers we seek.
However, the Bibles says we have 2 types of wisdom, one kind of wisdom from below and another from above, those that use wisdom from below and the manipulators.
In the Book of James, it gives us an insight into both types of wisdom. – Let’s look at James 3:15-18 amplified. It starts with the definition of earthly wisdom
This [superficial] wisdom is not that which comes down from above but is earthly (secular), natural (unspiritual), even demonic. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder [unrest, rebellion] and every evil thing and morally degrading practice.
From the above verses we see that people that use such earthly wisdom are ungodly, now discernment is required because these actions take place is a lot of religious gatherings, and they are also very persistent. That’s why a close relationship with the Holy Spirit and prayer time is crucial.
From verse 17 (James 3) it defines Godly wisdom:
17 But the wisdom from above is first pure [morally and spiritually undefiled], then peace-loving [courteous, considerate], gentle, reasonable [and willing to listen], full of compassion and good fruits. It is unwavering, without [self-righteous] hypocrisy [and self-serving guile]. 18 And the seed whose fruit is righteousness (spiritual maturity) is sown in peace by those who make peace [by actively encouraging goodwill between individuals].
We these two distinctions we can identify what type of person we are dealing with. Just a reminder we have a lot of wolves in sheep’s clothing, so please be on guard.
If someone has taken advantage of you or done evil to you in the past, forgive them and move on, NEVER go back to such vicinity, because they will do it again, the leopard can’t change their spots. Prophet Jeremiah put it this way:
“Can the Ethiopian change his skin
Or the leopard his spots?
Then you also can do good
Who are accustomed to evil and even trained to do it. Jeremiah 12:23
To be continued.
Anyway, wonderful people, May God Bless Shine His face upon you and keep you safe.
Remember Jesus Christ is the Light & Saviour of the World.
God Bless
Until Next time, keep Believing, Keep Hoping & Keep Loving.
