The Wicked (Poem)

In our world where darkness seeks its way, Evil hearts plot and sway. But those who trust in the Lord’s embrace Shall inherit the land and find their rightful place.

For a little while, the wicked may prevail, But their days are numbered, and their schemes will fail. Though they once stood tall, with a menacing frown, In the end, they’ll vanish, nowhere to be found.

The wicked they plot against the righteous they fight, Like gnashing teeth in the shadows of night. But the Lord above, He laughs with grace, For He knows their end, their day of disgrace.

With swords drawn and bows bent, they scheme and conspire To harm the upright, with hearts filled with fire. But the arms of the wicked will break like brittle bone, While the righteous find strength in the Lord’s zone.

The wicked shall perish, their glory a mirage; like smoke, they’ll vanish, leaving no barrage. But the righteous, the faithful, the ones who seek grace, In the Lord’s loving arms, they find their place.

He does not forsake them, His saints, His delight, Preserved forever in His radiant light. Yet the descendants of wickedness, in due course, Shall be cut off with no unending force.

So let us stand firm in our faith and our grace, For the Lord is with us in every place. In the end, it’s the righteous who’ll truly endure, While the wicked, like smoke, shall vanish for sure.
