The Wicked (Song)

(Verse 1) The wicked tread a treacherous road, Their deeds of darkness, their hearts in the cold. But those who trust in the Lord’s firm hand, They’ll inherit the land, where God’s blessings stand.

(Chorus) For a little while, the wicked may parade, But soon they’ll vanish, in the shadows fade. Their evil plots against the just, But in the Lord’s justice, they’ll find their trust.

(Verse 2) With gnashing teeth, they conspire and hate, Against the righteous, they create their fate. But the Lord above, with eyes so keen, Laughs at their schemes, for their end is seen.

(Chorus) The wicked draw their swords, their bows they bend, To harm the needy, afflict and rend. But the arms of the wicked shall surely break, While the righteous find strength for God’s sake.

(Bridge) The wicked shall perish, their glory’s mere veneer, Like lambs’ fat consumed in smoke, they disappear. But the Lord, our refuge, our stronghold and guide, Never forsakes His saints, forever by their side.

(Verse 3) In the end, the wicked shall meet their doom, Vanishing like smoke in the gathering gloom. But the faithful saints, preserved and whole, They find their solace in the Lord’s loving soul.

(Chorus) For those who do evil, their path’s cut off, But in God’s embrace, we find our true troth. Inherit the land, in His grace we stand, In the end, it’s the righteous who’ll truly withstand.

(Outro) So, let us wait for the Lord, our hearts renewed, In His presence, our faith’s foundation pursued. For in His time, the wicked’s end will come, And we, the faithful, shall find our eternal home.
