Genocide in plain sight, seen through our eyes,
Shock grips many; no aid, just hollow cries.
Nations talk loud, but action’s in retreat,
The world’s policemen silent on the street.
21st century, yet we’re stuck in this loop,
Civilization’s facade, but action in a group.

In the face of horror, a moral command.
The heart of man, in its darkness it dwells,
Void of the Spirit, where compassion swells.
I rest my case; this truth stands clear,
Without the Spirit, humanity veers.
Desperate and wicked, this heart may roam,
But with the Spirit, compassion finds its home.
