Watching Closely (Poem)

In the shadows lurk those who pry,
Eager eyes, watching, waiting nearby.
They scrutinize every step we take,
Ready to pounce, ready to forsake.

But little do they know, as they judge with ease,
We came alone, and alone we’ll leave.
Before God’s throne, our deeds we’ll lay,
No mortal eye can lead the way.

Like 2Pac’s words, in echoes resound,
“Only God can judge me,” truth unbound.
For only He knows the battles we’ve fought,
The hells endured, the lessons taught.

Bound in chains of others’ thoughts,
We suffocate in their judgment wrought.
But true freedom lies in letting go,
Of the weight of opinions, the endless show.

Those who seek to find fault in others’ plight,
Their own skeletons dance in the night.
Their hypocrisy revealed in time’s unfold,
Their own tales of woe, forever untold.

So, to those watching closely, we see your game,
Your motives transparent, your aims the same.
We’re unimpressed by your watchful gaze,
For in our truth, we stand unfazed.

Keep watching closely, if you must,
But know that in your scrutiny, you’ve lost trust.
We’ll walk our path, unshackled and free,
For only God’s judgment matters, you see.
