Growing in Love not Falling in Love (Poem)

In the realm of love, we find our way,
But not by falling, like night to day.
Growing, instead, like a sturdy tree,
Rooted in love, strong and free.

The world may have it backward; it’s true,
Falling in love is a path we eschew.
For in the ascent, we find our grace,
Growing in love to a higher place.

Every moment with you, my love does bloom,
Deepening, strengthening, and filling the room.
You’ve shown me the path, clear and bright,
Growing in love with every sight.

No cutting corners, no shortcuts taken,
Building a foundation, unshaken.
Through life’s storms, we’ll stand together,
In our love, we’ll weather whatever.

With you, I feel a sense of freedom,
A love so pure, it’s hard to fathom.
Have we met before? It feels so right,
As we ascend together, in love’s light.

I can’t help but wonder, where have you been?
In this journey of love, where do we begin?
But as we grow, higher and higher we’ll climb,
In love’s embrace, for all of time.
