Don’t Be Sentimental (Poem)

In the dance of life, where shadows play,
We often find ourselves astray,
Bound by ties we once held dear,
Yet now, they only bring us snares.

To cling to what no longer serves,
Is to deny the truth that curves,
Around our hearts, a whispered plea,
To set ourselves and our spirits free.

Don’t be sentimental, let it go,
Release the weight that drags you low,
For if a soul brings naught but pain,
It’s time to sever, time to refrain.

Love yourself, embrace your worth,
For in your heart lies sacred birth,
A truth that shines, divinely clear,
Guiding you away from smear.

Prioritize your sacred bond,
With divinity, beyond the beyond,
For in its light, you’ll always find,
A strength that leaves the past behind.

You’ve likely given chances, true,
But some paths lead to no breakthrough,
The Holy Spirit, angels near,
Are more than solace, more than mere.

So walk away from what confines,
From chains of doubt, from troubled signs,
Don’t be sentimental, let it be,
For in release, you’ll find the key.

To unlock the door to brighter days,
Where joy and peace will light your way,
Embrace the call, the gentle flow,
And let not sentimentality sow.

For in the letting go, you’ll see,
The beauty of your spirit free,
To soar, to dance, to truly be,
In divine love, eternally.
