Safeguard Your Soul (Poem)

In the pursuit of wealth, in the chase of fame,

 Don’t trade your soul for an earthly name. 

For the soul is eternal; it never dies, 

Even when our physical form says its goodbyes.

What good is it to gain the whole world’s wealth,

 But lose your soul in pursuit of stealth? 

Be wise, don’t be fooled by the dark,

 For light and darkness, keep stark.

Safeguard your soul, with every breath,

 In the face of temptation, choose life over death.

 Turn to Jesus, let His love unfold,

 To redeem your soul from darkness’ hold.

Jesus is Lord, have you not heard, 

In His grace, find your soul’s safeguard.

 Don’t let people deceive you with a silver tongue, 

Safeguard your soul from where darkness sprung.

More important than riches, than fame’s bright light, 

Is the eternal safeguard, in Jesus’ might.

 So hold on tight, with all your might,

 Safeguard your soul in truth’s pure light.

For in the end, when the world fades away, 

Your safeguarded soul will forever stay. 

Don’t be swayed by deceit’s dark call,

 Safeguard your soul, and stand tall.
