Build Us Up (Poem)

We are committed to God, in His loving embrace,
Deposited in His charge, entrusted to His grace.
In His protection and care, we find our true home,
Guided by His Word, we are never alone.
Commended to the Word of His unmerited favor,
Commands, counsels, and promises, our spirits savor.
It builds us up with strength and with might,
Giving us our inheritance in His Holy light.
Among God’s set-apart ones, purified and new,
Consecrated and transformed in all that we do.
It’s a blessing to know God and be known by His heart,
In His divine friendship, we find our real part.
Called friends of God, in His love we abide,
In His grace and His mercy, we find our guide.
Hallelujah, praise the Lord, our voices we raise,
In His eternal glory, we sing out His praise.
For in His Word, we find our place,
In His promises, we see His face.
He builds us up, day by day,
Guiding our steps in His holy way.
Blessed to know God and to be known by Him,
In the light of His love, our spirits never dim.
Hallelujah, Praise the Lord for all He has done,
In His grace and His glory, we are one.
