I Wish (Poem)

I wish you had a pure heart towards me, lady,

For the Holy Spirit whispers, caution and maybe.

I wish you could step into the light so bright,

It’s much better than where you are, a hopeful sight.

I see your eyes calling a silent plea,

But my gut says no, warns cautiously.

I am sending you an invite, to the Light So Clear,

Make that change; face the mirror without fear.

I see through you, lady, into the depths of your soul,

A place where shadows linger, taking their toll.

There’s a light waiting, a path so true,

I wish you’d find it; I wish you’d renew.

Step out of the darkness, let go of the past,

Embrace the light’s warmth and find peace at last.

I wish you could see what I see within,

A heart that can heal, a soul that can win.

Make that change, lady, take that bold step,

Into the light’s embrace, where love is kept.

I wish you well in this journey of flight,

From shadows to dawn, from darkness to light.
