We See You Clearly Now (Poem)

You were once loved by many hearts across the globe,

But now the truth is out, and your true colors show.

The current times have unveiled what you hold,

Aiding and abetting in what’s heartless and cold.

Once our hearts beat warmly with love for your name,

But now they’ve turned cold, knowing your shame.

For so long, we were fooled, blinded by your charm,

But the truth has emerged, causing worldwide alarm.

We see you clearly now, no longer in disguise,

The majority can’t be wrong; we’ve opened our eyes.

You’ve aligned yourself with what’s breaking the world’s heart,

Becoming an accomplice to tearing lives apart.

Mothers, children, buried before their time,

Thousands lost to the weight of your crime.

You’re on the wrong side of history, and the world can see,

No longer the beacon you once claimed to be.

The veil has been lifted, your actions laid bare,

And now you stand exposed, with truth in the air.

We see you clearly now, no longer blind,

History will judge, and you’ll be left behind.
