Embracing Divinity (Poem)

I’ve been around the block, seen it all before,
In this fallen world, trust is no more.
I’ve learned the hard way, through trials and pain,
That trusting in folk is a losing game.
The good book says it—”All men are liars,”
Prophet Jeremiah warns of false desires.
Cursed is the one who trusts in flesh,
But blessed are those in God who rest.
People are weary, tired of deceit,
Sick of the lies wrapped in words so sweet.
They don’t want speeches or empty charms,
They long for truth, for steady arms.
If you can’t show action, keep your tongue still,
Your manipulative words are void of will.
Take them elsewhere, get lost in the dust,
For in you, there’s no place for trust.
You operate in the wisdom of this fallen land,
But we are chosen a higher hand.
In embracing divinity, we rise above,
Flowing in wisdom that comes from love.
With open arms, I embrace the Divine,
Where peace, truth, and light align.
I walk in the wisdom from heaven’s gate,
For trusting in God is a blessed state.
So keep your tricks, your earthly schemes,
I’m done with false hopes, broken dreams.
In divinity’s arms, I’ve found my way,
No more to wander, no more to stray.
