Our Stories (Poem)

We each carry stories, deep within our soul,
Moments and lessons that make us whole.
For the awakened heart, they’re more than just past,
They’re stepping stones, lessons made to last.
One story to the next, our life unfolds,
In this earthly container, our spirit molds.
Some stories teach us where lines must be drawn,
Boundaries are built to keep us strong.
Sometimes it takes more tales, more walls,
Learning to rise from the stumbles and falls.
It’s funny how we each perceive our days,
Shaped by our own unique, winding ways.
No use in bitterness, let go and release,
Observe in wisdom, choose your peace.
Avoid the noise, stay tuned to the voice,
That still, small whisper guiding choice.
Our minds remember each path we’ve known,
Equipping us for the seeds we’ve sown.
Stored in a vault, our story bank grows,
A reference for life, as onward we go.
Every moment, every trial or glee,
Happens with purpose, though hard to see.
So ask the reason for each tale told,
For in every story, there’s wisdom to hold.
From these stories come strength, experience, grace,
They build our wisdom, our sacred place.
And when we live and learn from our past,
We walk a path that’s steady and vast.
Yes, our stories are more than we see—
They’re the blueprint for who we’re meant to be.
