Demons on Pictures (Poem)

A world of connection, or so it seems,
Where we scroll through lives and chase our dreams.
Social media, a digital escape,
But lurking beneath is a darker shape.
A place to unwind, or so we’re told,
Yet shadows thrive where stories unfold.
Demons on pictures, a silent scheme,
Manipulating minds, stealing esteem.
Hidden intentions behind a smile,
Energy siphoned, soul on trial.
Wicked ones use others to climb,
Turning light into darkness, time after time.
Was this creation built with care,
Or designed to trap in its digital snare?
A platform of voices, a network of faces,
Yet power is stolen in hidden spaces.
Be mindful, be watchful, don’t let it deceive,
Not every post is what you believe.
But take heart, for there’s power in you,
Call back your energy, make it new.
The light within can never be chained,
No matter the shadows, it always remains.
The question stands, as we scroll and share,
Do the benefits outweigh the dangers there?
Demons on pictures, their tricks are rife,
But wisdom and caution protect your life.
So pause and reflect, don’t blindly engage,
In this age of screens, discernment is sage.
For though the dark may cast its spell,
The light within will always prevail.
